Jean-Baptiste Doussoux bought his first alembic for distilling his own cognac. A family property for several generations, the vineyard today covers 60 hectares in two different areas. Because we care about the diversity of our soil, the different grape varieties we have and the age of our vines, down through the generations the owners of this vineyard have always tried to make their land give its absolute best to our products.
In 1946, after the break due to the Second World War, a new Jean Doussoux began to distill Cognac once again, and we have been making Pineau des Charentes since 1947.
