Our traditional white Pineau des Charentes is a blend of 3 different grape varieties, an unusual approach in the Charentes. The grapes are from old vines with fairly low yields which give the Pineau a fascinating wealth of flavours.
This Pineau des Charentes is an excellent aperitif mixed with 4cl of Perrier and a slice of lime.
This is a young pineau made using Merlot Noir grapes. We use both direct pressing and bleeding after a few hours of maceration. This traditional process produces a light, fruity pineau with notes of strawberry.
This Pineau is very rich and should be drunk cold, with ice and a slice of lime
This traditional red Pineau des Charentes is a blend of two grape varieties. The destalked grapes are macerated to extract the intense red colour and the red fruit flavours.
In a cocktail or as part of a meal, it goes well with fruit salad or a summer starter like melon.
Contains a little bit of our history! This Vieux pineau is mainly made from Ugni Blanc and Colombard grapes taken from old vines and is aged in oak barrels for 10 years. Dried fruit, spice, plum, prune and walnut - flavours which make it smooth, and rich, with a long finish and honeyed rancio.
With a starter such as foie gras or oysters, or with a dark chocolate dessert.
